​Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity are pleased to announce that the charity has secured funding for a Minibus, which will be delivered in the coming months. This will ease the burden and remove the expense of travelling to and from Craig Tara Holiday Park, particularly for underprivileged families and those with mobility issues. Furthermore, children with compromised immune systems are at a high risk of developing infections, especially when mixing with others as they would be required to do if using public transport and making multiple changes.  Other children may struggle to cope with change or in busy places; the journey would be too stressful for the family to undertake and as a result, many families never get a chance to travel.

Additionally, the minibus will also allow the charity to save money on the cost of delivery and van hire by completing delivery of essential household goods. It will aid in the uplift and drop off emergency food parcels in bulk and care packages for vulnerable families living locally, allowing us to complete doorstep drop-offs for families who cannot leave home, or have unwell children and find it difficult to travel. Also, quick and easy collection/distribution of donations, such as donated clothes, or perhaps a child’s bike will be made much easier.
