About us
Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity was established in July 2016 and was the conception of Linda Ford ( General Manager ), who herself had already amassed vast experience in the charity sector, working for various organisations, managing numerous campaigns, and raising both donations and awareness for the relevant charities. Linda always possessed a passion for helping people but wanted to be involved at ground level, liaising directly with those who needed assistance most.
Our Mission
The charity's mission is to make dreams come true for sick and terminally ill children, children with learning disabilities, and underprivileged children. However, 2020 changed all our lives, and we as a charity had to change the way we supported individuals and families. Due to the financial impact of COVID-19, we realised that the need for our services would need to extend beyond wishes to helping families across Scotland who, for whatever reason, were toiling. Sadly, the situation has now been intensified by the economic and cost of living crises. Beyond wishes, our mission now includes a range of services, including delivering food and essential packages, which also include baby food, nappies, cleaning products, gas and electric top-ups and personal hygiene items. We've also provided families with seasonal clothing, such as warm winter jackets, clothing/shoes, and school uniforms for their children. Fundamentally, our mission remains the same, only now it covers a wider spectrum of social issues.
Our vision
Our vision is to continue bringing happiness and joy to children and families who, for whatever reason, face daily challenges. The charity will endeavour to expand our services, including the number of respite opportunities provided at our own caravan. While working with individuals and various community groups, the charity will continue to prioritise the health and well-being of each community in which it operates, ensuring access to assistance and placing happiness, compassion, and social inclusion at the forefront of our services.

We couldn't have managed to help so many individuals and families without the support of many companies, trusts and foundations, along with members of the general public.
If you know someone that we could help then please contact us and SWCC will do our best to support them.
